Opening scene Script.

Script:

*Alessandro walks through the automatic doors*

*He looks at his phone*

Alessandro: He has to be in here somewhere.

*Eliot is standing in the distance, near the coffee machine*

*Alessandro looks up towards Eliot*

Alessandro: (shouts) Malcom.

*Eliot looks up in surprise, and runs through the double doors dramatically*

*Alessandro remains calm and steadily chases Eliot through the doors and down the stairs*

*Eliot panics, runs into a door, finally opens it and runs*

*Eliot finds a door but is locked and he gives up*

INTERROGATION SCENE:

*close up on Eliot who is panicking sitting on a chair in an office*

*Alessandro walks in*

Alessandro:  So, if you’re not guilty, why did you run?

*Eliot nervously sits there in silent, trying not to give anything away*

Alessandro: We know it was you Malcom, but we know you didn’t do it alone.

*Eliot again is silent*

Alessandro:  Look, how about we compromise? If you tell me who helped you do it, I will cut you a bit of slack.

Eliot:  She made me do it. I had no choice.

Alessandro: (Pause, act shocked and off guard) we are talking about a women here? A women did all this.

Eliot: Don’t underestimate her.

Alessandro: What’s her name?

Eliot: She doesn't go by a name.

Alessandro:  What does she go by?

Eliot: (Pause, debating whether to say) Metro.

*Alessandro picks up the phone*

Alessandro:  The person behind all this, goes by the name Metro, she is our next target.

Changes to our script:

When filming we used the script, but only the first section. We did not follow the Interrogation scene script as we did not have chance to film it, so my group and I had to improvise making a shorter ending to our opening sequence. This required us to change the script. Below is the new dialouge which we used when filming our opening sequence:



Alessandro: You can try to run... You can try to hide... But i always find my ... Target.

Analysis of BFI Data- Genre and Classification

Looking at the image above, it shows the success of each genre throughout the UK, showing the number of releases, percentage of all releases, box office and percentage of total box office.  Box office genre is usually determined by a small number of high grossing releases. The highest grossing was animated film Despicable Me 2 which was the top earning genre with a combined gross of 247 million. This is perhaps because Animated films are available for all ages and all social class, making the films popular, producing more money.

Focusing on the genres Thriller and Horror we can see that they are both popular genres especially when comparing them to genres like War and Documentary. Even though these genres can be seen as similar, Thriller released 27 more films then Horror did in 2013. Additionally even though Thriller released 64 films compared to 37 Horror movies, Horror still managed to produce 28.4 million more then the Thriller genre. Comparing the figures given the Horror genre is more profitable when comparing it with Thrillers.

To conclude the number of releases that a genre makes does not determine how much profit the studios are going to make. Thrillers made 64 films with a box office of 29.1 million where as Horror made 57.5 million when only making 37 films.
